Truck Prayer

This was one of Brady's Baptism gifts.  It is hanging up in his room, behind his rocking chair and every night before bed, he points to the truck and tells us that he would like to read it. I think he actually started doing it as more of a stall tactic so he wouldn't have to go to bed; but now he genuinely enjoys reading it and I often hear him reciting it throughout the house during the day.

In case you can't read it, it says:
Dear God,
I'm still under construction,
but, even though I'm small,
I know You'll steer me right,
and guide me in the long haul...
Help me keep on truckin'
with Your power from above,
And the rock-solid values
of faith and hope and love.

Fashion Show

I thought that today's outfit deserved its own post...
...and of course Brady needed to pose for a picture too!

SNOW!!!

After a few years without any measurable snowfall, the kids were beyond excited when the snow started to fall. The only thing we didn't know was that it was going to continue to fall for almost a week. When it was all said and done, we ended up with almost a foot of snow, which meant no school, no work and lots and lots of fun playing in the snow!
This was our snowfall after a few days.
The view from one of our many walks around the neighborhood.

Snowball Fights!

Snowman!

Snow Angels!

The kids also made some "snow ice cream" which was a big hit!
(we added some food coloring so Abi could have purple ice cream)

The World According To Brady

Word of the Day:

 snug (snuhg)
–verb

1.
to cuddle, while being covered with a blanket.

Used in a sentence:  "I want to snug you"

Brady often baits you with a "snug" but has an ulterior motive - he really wants to read books. As soon as he gets you in place and comfortable, he disappears for a moment and returns with a book.

2012!

We rang in 2012 by celebrating with the Worsley family.  We had good food, many laughs and fun times with our great friends!
The Boys

The Girls
We celebrated with a few fireworks at midnight.
Josh thought the "popper guns" were a blast :)
