Brady's Big Boy Bed

With the anticipation of the new baby, we moved Brady into Abi's room and got the kids a bunk bed.  The decorating and organization of their shared room is still a work in progress but we decided to move Brady in so we could get them used to the idea and allow them to work out some of their excitement before sleep became an important factor with the start of school.
Very excited about his new bed (and sharing his room with Sissy)!

As you can see from the change in pajamas, these pictures were taken over the course of two days.  The excitement proved to be a bit too much for Brady to handle the first night and after multiple warnings, he ended up back in his crib :(

The second night ended much better!

End of Summer

As usual, the end of summer came too fast and before we knew it, we were buying school supplies and attending open houses for the upcoming school year.  Here is a glimpse of some of the activities which kept the kids (and us) busy throughout the summer:

A trip to the zoo with Grandma, Grandpa and cousins...
Hanging out in the flamingos exhibit

Attending friend's birthday parties...

Brady's Gymnastic Lessons...
On Brady's last day, he had a little performance to show off all that he had learned!

Celebrating with his best friend, Chase

Painting Ferryboat Grandma's Fence...
Every year, Abi and Brady paint on a section of Ferryboat Grandma's fence.  Here is this year's masterpiece:

Abi's Pony Camp...
Abi and her pony, Symphony

Abi's favorite part of riding Symphony was trotting.

Little brothers "trying" to patiently wait for camp to end!

Little Kickers Soccer Lessons...

At the end of each lesson, the kids got to practice making goals - a definite highlight for Brady!

Abi's Tap and Ballet Lessons...
Practicing her ballet obstacle course

Butterfly Release...
For Abi and Brady's birthday, they received gift certificates for live butterfly cultures. When the summer weather arrived, we order the caterpillars and had fun watching them transform into butterflies. Here are some pictures of the butterfly release:
Sadie couldn't figure out what was going on in those butterfly tents!

"There it goes!"
