First Lost Tooth

Yesterday Abi came out of school with a big smile on her face - she had finally lost her first tooth! I knew it was only a matter of time because for weeks she has been wiggling it with her fingers and playing with it with her tongue. In the last several days, it was just barely hanging on (which honestly grossed me out a bit!)  Apparently she was in PE and during roll call she decided it was time for it to come out, so she grabbed her tooth and pulled. Once it fell out, she told her teacher and headed to the office for some kleenex and an envelope for safe keeping.

Many of her friends have already lost teeth so she was SO happy when it finally happened.  She was so excited when we got home from school that she called both Grandmas to tell them the big news. At bedtime, she carefully put her little tooth under her pillow and anxiously awaited for the tooth fairy.  She was not disappointed the next morning when she found a sparkly dollar!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 The kids had a great Valentine's Day full of class parties and LOTS of treats.

We owe a big thanks to Aunt Peg for the adorable Valentines' clothes!  The best part of Brady's shirt was that he walked around all day saying, "Hello, my name is Heartbreaker".

Homework Help

The other day I found some math and language worksheets for preschoolers all about Star Wars.  As soon as I showed Brady, he was so excited to work on them and now asks me everyday if he can do his "homework". We generally try to work on them at the same time Abi is doing her homework so Brady does not constantly distract her, but on this day she finished hers a bit early and came over to help Brady. This video just warms my heart...

My Big Helper

Abi has always been a great sister - to Sadie, to Brady and now Natalie.  She is helpful, caring and loving with all of her siblings. This becomes strikingly evident to me when I see how dependent Brady is on his sister and I imagine it will be the same for Nattie as she gets older. A perfect example of this was the other night when we put the kids to sleep at our friend's house.  They were sleeping in different rooms and within a few minutes, Brady was crying hysterically. When I went in to check on him, he said that he "need(ed) sissy".  She is definitely the most important person in his world. I can only hope that their close relationship continues to grow and they remain close and connected throughout their lives.

Ever since Natalie was born, Abi has adored her.  Abi can make Nattie smile and laugh like no one else. As soon as Abi walks in the room, Natalie constantly follows her with her eyes, and her face lights up if Abi hugs, kisses or just talks to her.
