6 Weeks

My baby girl just turned 6 weeks old!  It's hard to believe and to be honest, I'm not sure where the time went.  Ordinarily, time would just creep by if I were to sit on the couch for countless hours a day but it seems to do the opposite when cuddling a newborn.

Natalie is such a good, happy baby. She has a very mellow and easy going personality which reminds me a lot of Abi at this age. She has already captured the hearts of our whole family - poor girl can't do anything without someone noticing :) During her waking hours she almost always has someone kissing her, hugging her, swinging her, playing with her or trying to get her attention! Just this week, she started smiling which is really fun for everyone.
Some cuddle time with brother.

Nattie LOVES bath time!

Natalie desperately wants to suck her thumb (and sometimes she can make it happen) but she doesn't yet have the coordination to do it whenever she wants. She often does what I call "fly-bys" where she gets her thumb out and near her mouth but can't get it in.  This makes her frustrated beyond belief! I think once she gets it all figured out, we'll be golden.

Before Natalie was born I wasn't sure how our family would adjust but 6 weeks in, I can't imagine  our life any other way.  A family of 5 can be tiring at times but I wouldn't change it - good times and bad - for anything in world.

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year - complete with costumes, carvings, parties and of course, lots and lots of candy.

Batman & Bat Girl

One of our first Halloween festivities was Pumpkin Carving Night at Brady's preschool.

Then we had our Pumpkin Carving Night at home.  Brady thoroughly enjoyed cleaning out the pumpkins!

Our Pumpkin Creations

The week leading up to Halloween was busy with parties in both Brady and Abi's classes.

Brady's Halloween Party
  Jake and Batman

Ghost Bowling

Pumpkin Cookie Decorating

Who knew? Batman is not too bad at ghost basketball!

Abi's Halloween Party

Working hard on some cookie decorations

Natalie also got in the spirit of Halloween :)

And finally it was Halloween night...time for Trick-or-Treating!

The trick-or-treaters didn't seem to bother Natalie
(A big thanks to Ferryboat Grandma for babysitting!)

Our fun day ended with "It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"
