Thanksgiving at the Coast

 Poor Brady!
Of course the day before we planned to head out of town for Thanksgiving, Brady got sick :(

Thankfully 24 hours of rest helped and we headed out as scheduled to spend Thanksgiving on the Oregon Coast with Ferryboat Grandma and Grandpa and family.

Sadie was over the moon with excitement when she found out she actually got to go with us on vacation.  She did great on our long car ride and overnights at the hotels.

Once we got to the coast, we immediately headed for the ocean which was only a short walk from the house we were staying at.

We headed to the Sand Dunes twice during our trip which was a blast!

We even got up early one morning and went crabbing. I think we ended up catching six crabs that we could keep and they made for a delicious dinner!
Abi's favorite part was throwing back the crabs that were too small
and Brady's favorite thing to do was to drive the boat.

A big thanks to Ferryboat Grandma and Grandpa for hosting a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

On our way back home we stopped at Tillamook for lunch, a tour and some yummy ice cream.

The kids were ecstatic when we arrived home on December 1st to find a special surprise guest....Oscar (our elf on the shelf) was back!
