Date Night

Today Brady and I got to go on a date night.
We headed out to Safeco field for a Mariners game.
We had to make one stop at Krispy Kreme for a football donut before walking to the stadium.

Me and my boy. Love this kid!

It got a little cold as the game continued but we stayed til the end because it was fireworks night (all choreographed to music from Seattle artists).

Extraction

After months and months of waiting for Abi's front tooth to come out, we decided a trip to the dentist was in order for a little help. With her permanent tooth already coming in, we couldn't wait any longer for her to wiggle it out on her own. Although she was a bit nervous, it came out with a quick pull and she did great. After paying the bill on our way out, I told her that next time she had a loose tooth we were going to try everything including dental floss and door handles :)

There's nothing better than listening to those giggles!

Whidbey Island

We are lucky enough to have great friends that have a beach house on Whidbey Island.  This weekend we got a chance to spend a few days relaxing on the beach, enjoying great weather, delicious food and good company while celebrating Brady's best friend, Chase's 5th birthday.

This is the first time we took Sadie with us (thanks to some major convincing)
and she was in seventh heaven!

We celebrated Chase's birthday with a pool party and some inner tube rides!

Thanks for a great weekend Worsley's!

Remlinger Farm

Today the kids, Grandma and Grandpa and I spent the day at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, a self-described country fair fun park. The kids had a great time petting the animals, riding the roller coaster, horseback riding and exploring the grounds on a mini steam train.

As we were driving home, Brady announced that he lost his second tooth.
Guess we'll have another visit from the tooth fairy tonight!

Brady's First Lost Tooth

Since Abi lost her first tooth just shy of her 7th birthday, I was assuming that Brady would be the same so I was a bit surprised when Brady got some wiggly teeth last week. Today the first one came out!

Dancing with the Stars

Mom and I share a common love for the show "Dancing with the Stars" so when we heard that a few of the pros were coming to town, along with some singers from American Idol, we had to buy tickets.  It was a fun show!

In one part of the show, the dancers took questions from the audience.
Look how close I was to Maksim - he was standing right next to me!

Airplane Rides

The Tigger Airplane has been a favorite in the Doehne household. In fact, Abi got it when she was a baby and it has stood the test of time. Yes, the foam blades on the front don't turn or light up anymore but it is still good for an old fashion push (or run!) across the hardwood floor.  Abi loved it, B loved it and now Nattie loves it. It is going to be one of those toys that is hard to donate down the road because it holds such fun memories.

Natalie LOVES when her brother or sister push her. In fact, she'll often just sit on it and then start incessantly asking one of her siblings to push her... "Brady, push? Sissy, push?" As you can see, it often becomes a family affair.

A Trip to the Big City

Today we marked another activity off of our Summer Bucket List. Abi traded in her hard-earned marbles for a trip to the city to go on the Seattle Big Wheel, Pike Place Market and the famous Gum Wall.
We hit up the ferris wheel first!

Luckily it was a beautiful sunny day and the views were amazing, especially from the top!

Next we explored the Pike Place Market, including contributing to the Gum Wall.

Before we left, we enjoyed some ice cream on the waterfront.
