Road Trip: Olympic Peninsula

For the past two summers I have been wanting to take the kids over to The Olympic Game Farm in Sequim.  Since it is quite a trek, Josh decided to take some time off work and we spent the day traveling, eating, playing and sightseeing.
Everyone was excited for our road trip!

Ms. Nattie loved running around the ferry.
Luckily it was a beautiful day so we could let her run amuck outside on the upper deck.

One of our first stops was lunch and of course ice cream :)

Next we headed to the Olympic Game Farm. It is a driving tour where you get to feed animals bread from the comfort of your car. We fed yaks, zebras, deer, bears, elk and buffalo. The kids had fun except when they held onto their bread slice a bit too long and as a result, got an up close and personal view of the animal as it stuck its head into our backseat (and into the laps of the kids)!

These guys have learned that if they wave, they will get more bread
so they are more than happy to oblige.

I have to admit, these guys were BIG and made me a little nervous walking next to the car,
especially when we ran out of bread!

Next we stopped by a nearby beach to let the kids run around and stretch their legs before we headed home.  Unfortunately the weather was changing so it was cold and really windy but still beautiful.

The next day trip I want to plan is to Mount Rainier.
Hopefully it is won't take us two years this time!
