Veteran's Day

With Veteran's Day right around the corner, the kids had a school assembly today to honor the past and present veterans. The third grade classes were responsible for planning and leading the assembly.  They not only had a slideshow with pictures of family members in the Armed Forces but also invited veterans to attend and be honored.  It was a really moving tribute.

Abi's class learned sign language to the song "God Bless the USA" and performed it during the assembly. (Abi is the front row on the left hand side.)
I was sitting at the back of the auditorium when it was performed during the assembly and couldn't get a good view so this video is at the end of the assembly as the kids were being excused (hence all the background noise.)
