Candyland Play

Abi was beyond excited after her performance in Charlotte and Wilbur when she found out that she could be in one more play this year. The name of the play was Candyland - a production written by the 5th and 6th graders with a little help from Mrs. Van, the Drama teacher. The play was only open to Kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders. The kids did not have to audition for roles but instead the kids were divided into groups (types of candy) and assigned a director (a 5th or 6th grader who has been involved in previous drama productions).  Each child was given one line to recite and they had to learn and perform a choreographed dance as a group. Abi was in the lollipop group (one of the best in my humble opinion!)

Again, I couldn't be prouder of my little actress - her confidence on stage is amazing and I am so happy that she has been given these opportunities to express her cute and ever-growing personality.
Headed into the auditorium for her performance
The Lollipop Girls
Almost time to perform...
In case you can't tell, Abi is the one in the front at the beginning of the video.
(Sorry about the quality - apparently it was too bright from all the lights)

Brady and Chase kept themselves busy by dancing to the music and making each other laugh!

A big thank you to everyone who came to support and see Abi perform!
Abi and I made rainbow cupcakes for the cast after party - they were a big hit with the kids!

Sent a "Very, Merry UN-Birthday" package to the kids today. Should be there in a few days. I apologize ahead of time for one of the gifts - not inappropriate or anything but a distinct possibility for being startling on occasion, however I am sure Brady will love it - and probably Josh too.
