Lake Chelan

We had a fun trip to Chelan this year.  Josh joined us for a few days and the kids and I stayed with Arizona Grandma and Grandpa for the remainder of the week.  Although no one in the Doehne family got sick this year, the curse continued and Grandpa came down with the flu for a couple of days - thankfully no one else got sick.  The weather was decent - a bit of everything - sun, rain, wind - but we still managed to do and see a lot.  Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for a fun time!
We had to stop by and get some chocolate at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
in Leavenworth for the last leg of our road trip
...and stop at the winery to pick up some wine (and a ride on the tire swing!)
We took a walk on the Riverwalk,
went swimming on the few days it was warm enough to go in the pool,
Grandpa throwing Abi in the pool.
This was one of my favorite things to do with my Dad when we went to Lake Chelan.  My brother and I would beg my Dad to get in the pool with us and "throw us up in the air".

and spent many days at the playground.

On one of the cloudy days, we headed to Rocky Reach Dam to see the salmon ladder and check out the dam and museum.

On the windy days, we flew our new kite &
went fishing (although we were unsuccessful at catching anything).
On the rainy day, we headed to the local bowling alley - thank goodness for bumpers!

And spent the other times, finding "treasures", climbing rocks and playing on the beach.
On Josh's last night, he and Abi took a few hours to drive around and take pictures of the beautiful scenery of Lake Chelan - these are just a couple of the good ones!

I am so glad the curse was lifted this year, for the Doehne family, at least and it wasn't too bad for your dad! Looks like such a great trip with fun traditions and memories.
Love the bowling :)
