This weekend we celebrated Natalie's first birthday. We decided to have her party at a local park so the older kids would have a space to play and run around. I had envisioned having a BBQ and hoped for nice (or even decent) weather but unfortunately this was not the case. We had a cold, record-setting day of rain! Thank goodness we had the pavilion to stay warm and the rain showers still couldn't keep the kids off the playground so all in all, it worked out and my baby girl had a good party!
Thanks to everyone who weathered the storm to celebrate with us.
I have been wanting to have a candy buffet for a long time now so I took my chance when planning Nattie's party!

YEAH...Cake!
I love the next series of pictures which shows Natalie thoroughly enjoying (and destroying) her birthday cake.
After clean-up, it was time for presents.
After the party, Nattie and I had an impromptu photo session with a bouquet of balloons.
These pictures capture her spirit and personality perfectly.
