Spring Break 2015

We spent this year's Spring Break at our usual vacation spot...Grandma and Grandpa's in Arizona.  I am happy to report that we broke the Doehne Vacation Curse and had a sick-free trip which was awesome considering we planned an 11 day vacation. I was a bit worried after last year's fiasco with Nattie being sick but everything worked out great. We were even able to see some new cities and sights this time around.

Our beautiful view from the plane window.

Thank goodness for electronics and headphones. I even found some time to read a few pages in my book...that's a first since having kids.

The morning after we arrived was Easter Sunday. The kids were excited to see that the Easter Bunny didn't forget about them and made a stop at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt
There is something to be said for celebrating in Arizona.  No dredging through the rain and mud with umbrellas to find eggs. The only worry we had was finding the eggs quick enough so they did not melt!

We even found some time to color Easter Eggs.

We spent a few days exploring the town of Tucson.  We had some awesome mexican food and visited the Old Tucson Studios and Pima Air and Space Museum.
Old Tucson Studios is an old west town made famous as the location for movies and TV shows. We walked around the sets, watched a show and the kids had fun on some rides.

Everyone was excited for the train and car rides!

Next it was on to airplanes, airplanes and more airplanes at Pima Air Museum.
A really impressive museum with some great informative tours including a trip to an airplane boneyard.

And then we headed back to Goodyear to hit up some of our favorites...

The Wildlife World Zoo

Abi volunteered to participate in a show we were watching about seals,
so as a 'thank you', the kids got a chance to feed them.

After our day at the zoo, we headed to the kid's favorite place for dinner.

And Mom & Dad's favorite part...the giant aquarium which keeps the kids busy throughout the meal. A win-win for everyone.

Pool party with the Worsley's

Rides in the golf cart.

A visit to the Arizona Science Center.

This year they had a special exhibit which was the NFL Experience. We got to see memorabilia, try on helmets and gear, attempt to kick a field goal, throw around some footballs and try our hand at being a referee.  It was a fun exhibit for a family of football fans.

And lots more time at the pool!

Nattie LOVED the water!
Apparently no one talked to her about being 'lady-like' poolside! :)

Perhaps she has a future as a synchronized swimmer.
