Shameful

Abi has been in school for three weeks and it would be an understatement to say that we are frequent visitors to the lost & found.  Actually, it would be more accurate to say that we are daily visitors, as we were last week. We are in constant search of her coat, which she usually leaves on the playground during recess but she has also been known to lose her lunch bag, extra clothes, shoes, etc. I'm hoping my relentless reminding (or nagging, as some might call it) will sink in one of these days but unfortunately today was not that day.

After I almost blew a gasket when I saw her come out of her class without her coat, I somewhat gained my composure (mostly out of fear that the other parents might think I had totally lost it) and our trek to the playground and lost & found began (with all 3 kids in tow, I might add). Needless to say, Mom was not a happy camper! After we found her coat, I told her she needed to go home and write a letter discussing what she did wrong and how she was going to fix it.

Here is the letter I received 30 minutes later:

Dear Mom
I was shameful today.
I should of left my coat on.
Next time I will leave my coat
no matter what.
I love you
Your Daughter, Abi

Full-Fledged Crawler

Three days after starting with her worm crawl and eleven days before her 1st birthday, Nattie learned how to crawl on her hands and knees. And just in the few hours since she learned, she is already finding trouble.  Time to break out the baby gates! :)

Beast Mode

Brady LOVES Marshawn Lynch from the Seahawks.
Here are a few examples of just how obsessed he is...

At least once everyday, he runs football plays in the family room and they always end the same way - "Touchdown...Beast Mode!"

The other day, as we were riding bikes, he all the sudden stopped abruptly and announced (very seriously, I might add) that he was going to change his first name to 'Marshawn'.

And, yesterday, courtesy of Daddy, he heard the Beacon Plumbing commercial featuring Marshawn Lynch.  Now he walks around the house saying "Stop Freakin' Call Beacon"- in fact, he has said it so many times, he could possibly be the next spokesperson.

Gotta love my little beast mode!

Brady's First Day of Preschool: Year 2

This is the face I got when I asked if he was excited about going to school.

He was super excited about seeing this guy again on a regular basis!
Kindergarten will be sad next year without his best friend :(

Trying To Keep Busy

A picture of us today,
as we tried to keep ourselves entertained during the last 20 minutes of Abi's soccer practice.
